Scholarship Details

  • Need based financial Assistance is provided to Economically Weaker Students studying degree courses (MBBS, B.Tech/ BE, B.Sc, B.Com etc) in general.
  • EAMCET rank must be 30,000 or below for the fresh students seeking admission in Engineering, Pharmacy and Medical courses
  • Students seeking admission in Degree Courses other than Engineering, Pharmacy & Medical Courses must secure 80% or more in Intermediate or 12th Standard.
  • Students in 2nd year or higher years of all degree courses must secure a minimum of 8.0 GPA (Grade Point Average) in their previous years of study.
  • Preference is given to the students studied S.S.C or its equivalent and/or Intermediate course or its equivalent in Government schools and colleges and belonging to rural areas.
  • Interested students should apply on a prescribed application form.
  • Download the Application and fill up all the relevant information with care. Attach only the documents mentioned in the application form. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Submit the filled up application either at the Trust Office in Tenali or send by post to the Trust office Address.
  • The candidates are short listed based on the eligibility criteria. The short listed candidates and one of their parents / guardian are called for an interaction meeting to assess the candidates' academic performance and financial need by the Board of Trustees. Based on the assessment, the candidates are selected for the award of the scholarship.
Current Students
  • The Trust supported 80 students in the Academic Year 2022-23 disbursing an amount of Rupees 13.15 Lakhs.
  • The trust generally supports the students till they complete at least their 1st degree provided they maintain good academic record during their previous years of study.
  • To promote competition among the students, Academic Excellence Awards are awarded every year to those securing a minimum 85% or a GPA of 9.0 in their previous year of study.
  • The Trust also focuses on Character-building and philanthropic attitude among the students in the interaction meetings with them.
  • The scholarships are distributed to the awardees in the scholarship distribution function being organized every year in Tenali.
  • A couple of distinguished people in the academics or in industry are invited to this meeting to motivate, guide the students in their career plans and inculcate philanthropic attitude and social well-being in them.


Till 2012, the scholarship cheques were individually collected by the students from the Trust Office over a period of time. From 2013, a Scholarship Distribution Meeting is being arranged every year on a certain date at a suitable venue by inviting the students and their parents to the meeting. A couple of distinguished and learned persons are also invited to address the students for giving them career guidance and to inculcate the importance of philanthropic attitude for social well-being.

2022 Meeting (Summary)
An advertisement was put up in Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi on 13.9.2022 for the issue of the applications to award scholarships for the academic year 2021-22. The applications were issued to the students at the Trust office in Tenali and also made available in the website of the trust to download them. We received about 90 applications and conducted interaction meetings with the students along with their parent on a few Sundays in the Month of October, 2022 to assess their financial need and the student's academics. 80 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarships distribution meeting was organized on Sunday (13.11.2022), in NGOs Kalyana Mandapam, Kothapet, Tenali. Dr. Jasti Banuprasad, Raja Seetha Nursing Home, Tenali, Secretary and Correspondent, Vasireddy Pitchiah Ideal Public School, Tenali, Dr. C. V. Satyanarayana, Ph.D (IIT Bmbay), Former Scientist, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, and Sri N. Sivaramakrishna, Chartered Accountant, Sridhar and Sivarama Chartered Accountants, Guntur were the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour respectively. The members of Board of Trustees, well-wishers of the Trust, scholarship awardees and their parents were present in the meeting. Dr. Vadlamudi Govadhana Rao, Managing Trustee presided the meeting. The invited guest speakers delivered speeches inspiring the students and appreciated the financial support offering the needy students. Dr. Govardhna Rao appreciated the support of endowment, general and past student donors and conveyed sincere thanks to them. The list of the Scholarship Awardees and Academic Excellence Awardees were announced. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 13,15,000 (Rupees thirteen lakhs fifteen thousands) and academic excellence awards amounting to Rs. 26,000 (Rupees twenty six thousands) were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2021 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2020-21, we received about 80 applications. This year too, due to Covid pandemic we took precautions to avoid the travel and crowding of the students and their parents for the usual personal interaction meetings. Instead, we conducted the interaction meetings by phone to assess the academic progress and financial need over a period of a few days. Based on the interaction meetings and the information given in the application form, 71 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship meeting was organized on 19.12.2021 on-line on Google Meet. Sri Jagarlamudi Murali Mohan, Managing Director JOCIL Limited and Secretary & Correspondent, Nagarjuna Education Society, Guntur, Prof. K. Krishnaiah, Former Professor & Dean (Research) at IITs Madras & Tirupathi, Dr.K.Phaneedra Kumar, Principal, Vignan's Lara Institute of Technology and Science, Vadlamudi and Dr. M. Venkateswara Rao, Professor and Dean (Examinations), RVR & JC College of Engineering, Guntur were the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour respectively for the on-line meeting. The members of Board of Trustees, selected invitees, scholarship awardees were present in the on-line meeting. Dr. Vadlamudi Govadhana Rao presided the meeting. After delivering the inspiring speeches by the invited guests, Dr. Govardhana Rao, Managing Trustee appreciated the support of endowment, general and past student donors and the list of the Scholarship Awardees and Academic Excellence Awardees were announced. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 11,98,000 (Rupees Eleven lakhs ninety eight thousands) and academic excellence awards amounting to Rs. 30,000 (Rupees Thirty thousands) were distributed to the students over a period few days, to avoid crowding, at the Office of the Trust in the presence of the Board of Trustees and one or two invitees.

2020 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2020-21, we received about 80 applications. This time, due to Covid pandemic we took precautions to avoid the travel and crowding of the students and their parents for the usual personal interaction meetings. The scholarship meeting was organized on 13.12.2020 on-line on Google Meet. A famous doctor in Guntur and Kalaratna Dr. Kondabolu Basavapunnaiah, President of Sri Kakatiya Student Welfare Society, Dr. Jasti Venkateswarlu, Retired Scientist and Founder of Sri Kakatiya Student Welfare Society from Detoit, USA, Dr. Puttagunta Venugopala Rao, Retired Professor and Treasurer of Sri Kakatiya Student Welfare Society, from Edmonton, Canada, Sri Namineni Koteswara Rao, Retired Professor and Secretary of M. S. B. College of Nursing, Guntur were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honours respectively for the on-line meeting. The members of Board of Trustees, selected invitees, scholarship awardees were present in the on-line meeting. Dr. Vadlamudi Govardhana Rao presided the meeting. 2019 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2019-20, we received about 90 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 63 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 14.7.2019 in State Govt. Pensioners Association Building, Taluk Junior College Road, Kothapeta, Tenali by inviting Dr. K. Vizaya Kumar, Former Professor, IIT Kharagpur and Academic Adviser, Bapatla Engineering College, Bapatla as Chief Guest, Dr. K.V. Krishna Kishore, Dean Library & IT Services & Head, IT Department, Sri Kodali Venkaiah, Former Principal, VSR & NVR College, Tenali as Guests of Honour and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 8,00,000 (Rupees eight lakhs), and Academic Excellence Awards for 8 students amounting to Rs. 16,000 (Rupees sixteen thousands) were distributed by the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2018 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2018-19, we received about 85 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 73 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 15.7.2018 in NGOs Kalyana Mandapam, Taluk Junior College Road, Kothapeta, Tenali by inviting Dr. N. Siva Prasad, Former Professor, IIT Madras and Pro-Vice Chancellor, GITAM University, Hyderabad as Chief Guest, Dr. G.A. Rama Rao Former Scientist, BARC, Mumbai and Principal, School of Science, GITAM University as Guest of Honour and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 11,49,000 (Rupees eleven lakhs forty nine thousand ), and Academic Excellence Awards for 15 students amounting to Rs. 29,500 (Rupees twenty nine thousands five hundreds) were distributed by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2017 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2017-18, we received about 70 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 63 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 29.9.2017 in NGOs Kalyana Mandapam, Taluk Junior College Road, Kothapeta, Tenali by inviting Dr. A. Leela Mohana Rao, Former Registrar, Vignana University as Chief Guest, Dr. (Mrs) A. Sarada, Professor, Engligh Dept, Vignan University as Guest of Honour and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 10,77,000 (Rupees ten lakhs seventy seven thousand ), and Academic Excellence Awards for 16 students amounting to Rs. 29,000 (Rupees twenty nine thousands) were distributed by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2016 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2016-17, we received about 70 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 59 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 17.7.2016 in Indian Medical Association Building, Bose Road, Tenali by inviting Sri T.V.Rao, Project Consultant, A.P. Skill Development Corporation as Chief Guest, Dr. Kotha Siva Rama Krishna, Ophthalmologist, and Social Reformerm Tenali as Guest of Honour and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 9,46,000 (Rupees nine lakhs forty six thousand), and Academic Excellence Awards for 13 students amounting to Rs. 26,000 (Rupees twenty six thousands) were distributed by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2015 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2015-16, we received about 60 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 52 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 9.8.2015 in the open space in front of one of the Trust house by inviting Sri Namineni Koteswara Rao, Director, MSB College of Nursing, Guntur, Former Professor Of JKC College, Guntur as Chief Guest, Yogacharya Kota Sambasiva Rao, Nagarjuna University, Dr. Swarna Kumari, Yoga Teacher, Member of Guntur Acharya Nagarjuna Sky Trust as Guests of Honour and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 9,48,000 (Rupees nine lakhs forty eight thousand), and Academic Excellence Awards for 7 students amounting to Rs. 14,000 (Rupees forteen thousands) were distributed by the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2014 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2014-15, we received about 55 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 47 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 15.8.2014 in the open space in front of one of the Trust house by inviting Sri Bolli Satyanarayana, Former Lecturer, VSR & NVR College, Tenali as Chief Guest, Dr. K. B. K. Rao, Principal, MIC College of Technology, Kanchikacherla and Sri Raghavaiah, Training Officer, Vignan University as Guests of Honour and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 7,66,000 (Rupees seven lakhs sixty six thousand), and Academic Excellence Awards for 3 students amounting to Rs. 10,000 (Rupees ten thousands) were distributed by the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

2013 Meeting (Summary)
For the Academic Year 2013-14, we received about 55 applications, and conducted interaction meetings with the students and their parents to assess their financial need and the student academics. 48 students were selected for the award of scholarships. The scholarship distribution meeting was organized on 15.8.2013 in the open space in front of one of the Trust house by inviting Sri Kodali Venkaiah, Former Principal, VSR & NVR College, Tenali as Chief Guest and inviting other well-wishers of the Trust. The scholarship cheques amounting to Rs. 7,15,000 (Rupees seven lakhs fifteen thousand) were distributed by the Chief Guest and other selected invitees in the presence of Board of Trustees, invitees and parents.

A total of 1007 scholarships and 102 Academic Excellence Awards were awarded amounting to Rs. 150,08,300 (Rupees One Crore fifty Lakh Eight Thousand Three Hundred) benefitting 375 students till the Academic Yea 2022-23.

To promote healthy competition among the students, Academic Excellence Awards were introduced from the Academic Yea 2014-15. A total of 102 students were given Academic Excellence Awards till the Academic Yea 2022-23 amounting to Rs. 2,06,500 (Rupees - Two Lakh Six Thousand Five Hundred).
